Itinerary - Cuzco, Sacred Valley of the Incas and Machu Picchu (4 days / 3 nights)

Daily departures


Day 1: .... (Lima, Arequipa, Puno or Tambopata) / Cuzco

  • Upon arrival to Cuzco City, reception and transfer to your hotel.

  • You have the morning free to get acclimatized to the altitude.

  • In the afternoon, city tour in the Historical Centre of Cuzco and nearby monuments and surroundings: Plaza de Armas (Main Square), Cathedral, Koricancha or Templo del Sol (Sun’s Temple), after go to Archaeological Park of Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay.

  • Return to the hotel

  • Lodging in Cuzco


Day 2: Cuzco / Sacred Valley of the Incas / Machu Picchu (B-L)

  • Breakfast

  • Morning departure for a drive through the fertile countryside of the Urubamba Valley (Sacred Valley of the Incas) to the colonial village of Pisac. During your visit to the bustling marketplace you will have the opportunity to bargain with the natives for many different types of Peruvian handicrafts and jewelry.

  • Lunch at a local restaurant

  • Continue to the Ollantaytambo archaeological complex, the Incas built it as a fort that included a temple, agricultural terraces, and an urban area. There are two distinct sectors: The religious and worship zone, and the residential area. Ollantaytambo was an important administrative center with probable military functions if one considers the walls and towers. There are also traces of ancient roads and aqueducts. The town of Ollantaytambo is called a "Living Inca Town" since the inhabitants maintain very old practices and customs.

  • Transfer to Ollantaytambo Train Station

  • Board the train that will transfer you to Machu Picchu Town (Aguas Calientes)

  • Arrival to Machu Picchu Town and transfer to selected hotel

  • Lodging in Machu Picchu Town


Day 3: Machu Picchu / Cuzco (B)

  • Breakfast.

  • Transfer in minibuses that will climb you up to Machu Picchu Inca City.

  • Guided tour

  • At scheduled time, return down to Machu Picchu Town and free time to lunch

  • Transfer to the train station for your trip back to Cuzco City.

  • Upon arrival to Cuzco, transfer to your hotel.

  • Lodging in Cuzco.


Day 3: Cuzco / .... (Lima, Arequipa, Puno or Tambopata) (B)

  • Breakfast.

  • At fixed time transfer to the airport for your departure flight. (or bus / train station)
